Bank hol + day off

Post by Rlb123 »

Does anyone know where I stand on this?

I work 5 days a week (dont have a rotating day off yet) I’ve been told my day off next week is Tuesday, which is a bank holiday! Am I entitled to have another day off?
Thanks.

Thanks, doesn’t look like I’m entitled to another day off then.

If your day off is a bank holiday then you will be credited with another day on your annual leave :thumbup

I have Tuesdays off so if Xmas Day, Boxing Day or New year's Day falls on a Tuesday then I get an extra day off that week, eg I went back to work last week on Friday 28th Dec. I've worked for RM for 15 years and that's always been the case

Whether you get another day off that week will be down to the staffing levels in your office but if you don't ask you don't get. If not I would request payment in overtime as you're entitled, it's not something they like doing so you may find another day off suddenly materialises.
