Although TBH I've never had any more than 6. I don't think we're a particularly "Hot" Area for advertisers, you do hear on here of Town/City Centres that get hammered by local fast foods chains EVERY week.

It's done by address not name, so if someone else moves in they won't get door to door for the duration of the exemption. A bit daftrambo1 wrote:Since most 'junk' mail is addressed, it's only stopping door to doors isn't it. Something else for us to think about, which house needs d2d , which doesn't. What happens when someone moves house, does it automatically start getting d2d again, what if it's a partial move?
but there you go.........

Stamped mail has dropped over the years due to technology but its a fact that last year RM, as well as Amazon etc, could barely cope with the amount of business. Last year Xmas cards were stacked up unsorted in Yorks well into the new year and this year the situation is predicted to be worse.SpacePhoenix wrote:Stamped mail has dropped massively over the last few years, during Xmas pressure a few years ago we'd had our CFCs all running for a good amount of time each night shift, now it's not really worth running any of them on the night shift
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

I remember it being in the news about a postie being suspended for doing just that; he delivered the opt out forms like they were an additional door to door.
Wonder what happened to him...

saw the post on hukd and although nearly everyone hates them, nobody more so than us who deliver them but they help keep us employed so be careful what you wish for.
the info shown isn't the 1st time it's been highlighted and won't be the last and reckon the numbers printing them off and posting will be minimal

for those spouting the d2d''s are nto part of the suppliment when it suits rm it is read here

"The claimant was aware he was required to personally deliver the
Door-to-Door mail, he failed to do so and was aware dismissal for misconduct could
result due to the seriousness of breaching the contractual agreement between the
respondent and its client in a highly competitive business. It was so important that
the claimant was paid extra when Door-to-Door mail was delivered by him, and the
claimant acknowledged his failings when he offered to repay that part of his salary"

you don't get paid for door to doors the guy represented himself at the tribunal and basically did not know what he was talking about. Read the the whole thread and tribunal notes not just the bit you likelightningpostman wrote:for those spouting the d2d''s are nto part of the suppliment when it suits rm it is read here

I posted the relevant tribunal decision on RMC and this part of the decision is factually incorrect. They based their decision and this paragraph on what the claimant told them and, he also said he had 2 weeks to deliver them, do we still have 2 weeks.lightningpostman wrote:for those spouting the d2d''s are nto part of the suppliment when it suits rm it is read here

Further down in the statement is this
SO I am afraid to use this as evidence that we get paid specifically for doing D2Ds is misguided. All the Tribunal has before it is the claimant’s evidence, which was not entirely credible,
