Problem with booking annual leave HELP!!!

Post by Celgar »

The union LOVE the seniority system so I don't foresee that ever going.
There is a RM guideline that all AL allocation for the next AL year has to be completed and entered into their system by the end of October . In our DO we usually don't make that deadline as some people take longer to make their choices. I think ours is pretty much completed so we have done better than past years.
Sounds like the OPs union reps attitude could be improved a little .

I get what you are saying but it's the DOM sanctioning it where the problem lies! There's no list of available dates so you request the day/days you want, wait for them to check availability ( usually at least 2 days) and be told computer says no. Just give us a transparent system online where we can see what's available and book accordingly

We absorb more in the summer to free up extra holiday dates but they are refused because of sickness levels! The "sickness" levels are high because people are fed up of being refused holiday dates.
