This makes more sense as RM have thousands of already security checked people. Just pass details to Angard and issue new ID.Britvic55 wrote:Just had another email about transferring to Angard & this time it makes it clear that it is in January.

Yep, I've got the email now as well. I'm doubtful if I'll even hear anything from them in January though. I remember the first Christmas that I worked for RM and near to the end of my contract someone came around with a clip board asking if we wanted to work for Angard after Christmas, I said yes and didn't hear anything from them. Ahh well, I'll we can do is wait and see.
Has anyone worked in a delivery office before? I stated that I would work at either a delivery office or mail centre, but Im curious what the work actually involves.

They may not have started processing transfers yet as RM casuals only finished on Friday at my MC. When I transferred across my reply to their transfer email got lost and they actually rung me up to see if I still wanted to transfer. It wasn't until the end of January that everything was processed and I actually started with Angard, then my first shift was in February. It appears to have been done on a mass scale this year so may be why you haven't heard anything yet because of the numbers applying. You can always send an email to Angard.Employee@reedglobal.com you might get a reply you might not. If you work for Angard communication can be a bit hit and miss.

At the MC at which I work, one of the would-be transferrees has been told that Angard will not proceed with her application to transfer until RM have de used to terminate her Christmas contract and issued her with a P45.
Only then will they start their recruitment process - leaving her with a gap of several weeks whilst they perform the same checks as RM have already done.

Angard can be ok during the first 3 months of being on their books but after that the offering of shifts gets reduced in favor of new temps and then if you are offered shifts and say that if you wasn't doing something else then you take that shift that also reduces the amount of offered shifts. For me personally in '17 I was a Christmas casual and then due to application issues I couldn't transfer to Angard until Easter '18 BUT I had predicted that there was going to be some serious issues with being offered shifts over Xmas '18 so in Oct '18 I was accepted back to RM for guaranteed work. But at Xmas I was fast-tracked over to Angard and started working for my local delivery office instead of the mail centre and now my boss has put in a transfer request for me to go back to RM as a permanent OPG (postie) which he put in about a week or just over after starting there.

Gavin. I’ve been on Angards books since October last year and i still haven’t been given a single shift.
It’s infuriating. I ring them every week and I get the same “any day now” reply.
They are taking the p*ss big time and I wish I never bothered applying.
Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

There was general issues with Angard temps over the Xmas period even long term Angard temps couldn't get many shifts which is a reason why I switched over to Royal Mail for Christmas work and then got fast tracked back to Angard and now waiting for my transfer back to Royal Mail as a postiedean_b wrote:Gavin. So angard have finally told me (after me emailing them several times) i haven't been transferred and would need to apply again via their website. I should have just applied as soon as i finished at Xmas, would probably have been all sorted by now.

I had the same problem last year when I was first with Christmas Casuals and wanting to transfer, I ended up applying directly. Then the Xmas just gone I got offered a transfer to my local DO thinking it would be with Christmas Casuals but no at the same time I was 'fast tracked' over to Angard. Now I am awaiting the completion of the security checks for my transfer back to Royal Mail as an OPGpersona92 wrote:So angard have finally told me (after me emailing them several times) i haven't been transferred and would need to apply again via their website. Just coming back here wondering if anyone has heard from Angard after applying again. I got the same email that a few others have got telling me I won't be transferred so I applied again through the Angard site. That was in February, I went to registration and now I'm still waiting for an induction invite and it's bloody April!
