Inside info...

Does anyone here have any inside info on what’s happening with work etc (especially in the Sheffield mail centre). I notice the angard website no longer has vacancies for casual Mail sorters in Sheffield.

It’s been over a month since I got my Angard ID badge and I’m still waiting for my first shift to arrive.

I read on this forum that it may have something to do with Royal Mail hiring Christmas casual staff directly at a cheaper hourly rate... if this is true then why don’t they just tell me that so I can stop wasting my time and look for work elsewhere.

Everytime I ring angard they tell me they will have heard something by next week for sure..... 4 weeks I’m a row.

Would it be better just ringing Royal Mail directly and asking them?

Don't hang about mate as you may never get any shifts. Screw RM, especially at this time of year. Most of the companies have already hired their Xmas staff. There will be still jobs about but I would get my skates on and not wait about. Good luck anyway.
