Post by celerycelery »

Since the introduction of our new hours i cant get out the habit of saying good morning to people then looking at my watch and seeing its nearly 13.30. Funny thing is though they always say good morning back :chuckle . Also i can remember on a tuesday waiting for the chippy to open, now its bloody shut by the time i get there.

I've started saying "Good evening", if anyone corrects me I just say I'm practicing for when RM decide to make us start even later and to expect your post at supper time. The customers have already noticed how late I'm getting there and believe me. Strangely I don't think I'm telling porkies. :confused

I delivered a special at nearly 2pm today, walked in their office door and said 'mornin' its going to take along time for all of us to get out of that habit. I've just got back from town, whilst waiting for the bus at 6.15pm one of our posties walked past me with his trolley on the way back to the DO
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
