Well, Royal Mail will be contacting the owners of the red box on the outer wall of a Middlesbrough property following complaints that it looks too realistic.
The house on Belle Vue Grove, has had it installed on the exterior wall, but some residents are concerned many people will mistake it for a genuine Royal Mail collection box.
Maxine McGill, 62, who lives nearby said she's one of a few people who are concerned about it: "It looks really authentic, anybody could be fooled", she said.
"There's pensioners that live in bungalows there, they could be fooled by that.
"I want people to be aware that's not a real postbox and they shouldn't take that at face value."
The Royal Mail has told Teesside Live that only their official postboxes can be red and they will be contacting the owners of the property, asking them to amend it.
A spokeswoman said: “It appears that the owners at a property on Belle Vue Grove have installed a postbox to a wall at their property.
"To avoid confusion to our customers, we will be contacting the householders to ensure they paint the box any other colour other than red and place a notice on the box informing the public it is not a working postbox.
"In the UK, only Royal Mail can paint postboxes the iconic red colour.”
One woman branded it a "fake" postbox.
The homeowner declined to comment when approached by Teesside Live.
