the debate about the deal is now on across the country. By Tuesday this week few branches had made their recommendations, but already key meetings at some branches had come out for rejection of the deal. They include Bristol, Watford, Leicestershire, and South West counties.
We believe these branches have made the right decision. The deal means a pay cut (it’s really only a 5.4 percent rise over two years); it means “flexibilityâ€

I wonder if there is a element of Labour Goverment bashing in this? SWP is not just a Rival political party but a rival socalist party!

It will come as a surprise to the central commitee of the SWP that the Labour Party are a socialist party.

The Labour Party has in the past had members who were socialists: Lansbury, Tillett, Kier Hardy, Crooks, Thorne. The party has never had more than a nodding aquantaince with socialism, the last vesitges of which was abolished by New-Labour when they did away with Clause 4, aided and abetted by Alan Johnson.
