application still active

About 5 months ago I applied for a postman/woman job an interview date was given and passed so I thought I’d been unsuccessful. Then about 3 months after I got an email saying my application was still active then another month after that I got the same email again it says to withdraw the application if I’m not still interested in the position. I am still very interested in the job but 5 months wait for an interview doesn’t seem hopeful has anyone else heard of such a long process?

It sounds like you are on waiting list for other vacancies - what does your recruitment page say.

It says testing complete. Would a job in that area be advertised again then for me to hear back or don’t they always advertised

They are usually advertised on the website - check it daily and apply for any that appear acceptable,
