Why give your DOM your mobile number :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

How about a 'clear office' every day?

On the flip side of that is have you ever been asked to work to your hours when it's heavy?
My manager doesn’t just explain I only need to work my hours on a heavy day, no. So you’re right. He goes for the intimidate and pressurise system.

Is this the only job where workers complain about getting o/t on the peak times and having to work their contracted hours on quiet times. This is the time of year that lots of companies make their money shops are open later so workers all over the country work longer and harder and get paid for doing so we are the same.

He should be looking at people not taken breaks and not using correct equipment.

Difference is that three more hours walking is harder work than three further hours working on a till. There is only so much your body can take.

Makes me laugh, every year they hire hundreds for mail centres. Don't see a single extra body in delivery. This year I won't be working over. The good will has well and truly left the building.

A 'clear office' is a myth! When asked if I could leave a few loops I got told that I could leave packets instead (but take the tracked ones).
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Where do you get three hours extra walking from? if you are doing the same walk its the same walking just more packets so more time. As for just working your contracted hours, in the industry you chose to work in Christmas is a vital time so just clearing your walk is not to much to ask.

Oh sorry I meant that if you were to do your own walk and then half of another round. In my own opinion I am happy to pick up the extra load on a round at Christmas time despite being a part-timer, but I think it is fair that those with commitments will not feel the same (and that is perfectly fine).

It is if you're on a s**t duty that it's a struggle to complete at the best of times.

We were going over by two to three hours last Christmas, my first one, to complete ...every day for over a month.

Not this year, matey... :so there
Sooner or later, a beat dog bites.

Just a small point, but if your call rate is 70% normally and at Christmas it goes up to 95% you walk further.
