XMAS STRIKE!!!

Post by L Tommo »

Now i would strike at the drop of a hat over the way RM and now the PEC & HQ have treated us..... No good beating up billy n dave YET... Lets get the vote in first and work from there... I feel we need proactive members working and telling our mates and comrades we need to mget a massive NO vote as we all know.. Then think about the best in all terms of when to strike..?

XMAS is a massive time for both RM and US... If we all come out for IA over the lead up to xmas the public & media will have a field day...

I hate to say it coz i would love to take the fight to RM then... But how many realisticly would come out, NOT ON THIS SITE???

Your Average joe in the MC or DO...? We all know many of em in our own work places... They might walk when they are unhappy or pissed off with the first deal but over xmas there will be a big swing of not coming out in support.. We know it.... So i feel we should all stick as close as we can to not devide ourselves...

Show good will but then have a very good plan to hit back strongly after the 26thdec.... Rolling strikes 1 day a week every week and working to a stricked 318 rule.... Made clear by every rep with guildlines. We need to back the NO VOTE Now and stick together or we are sunk.....

IF THE MAJORITY WANT A XMAS STRIKE SO BE IT... BUT LETS FIRST GET THE NO IN PLACE AND WORK FROM THERE,,

NEVER LET THE BASTARDS GRIND US DOWN!!!! :so there :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause

buisness mail is held back over xmas to accomidate the publics mail,so when we come back after xmas theres already a backlog.and most buisnesses shut down for xmas holidays.so after new years there is another massive backlog.if we striked after xmas the backlog would take ages to clear.it's not joe publics mail we need to hold back as they only use the sevice once a year and would get seriously narked off if we did(i couldn't blame them).it's the buisness mail,as everyone knows this is where the money is.you pis the big spenders off you pis rm off and start getting the message across.

and the way to rock this company is not to go against joe public who spend sod all on letters.it's the buisnesses contracts where the money is.rm would love it if we striked against the public, they know we'd be shooting ourselves.it's the buisnesss mail that generates money and this is where we should hit them.all rm want to do is make big money. the threat of more strikes would force the spenders to look at other mail companys, thus taking cash away from rm pockets.thats all rm are bothered about.hit them with brains not stupidity :arrrghhh

The public couldn't give two figs about us, or our valid reasons for taking strike action. This is 2007, not 1957. We live in an age where the
consensus of opinion seems to be, "My job's shite, my wages are shite, my pension's shite, so why shouldn't the posties be, what's so special about
them?" ............ The sooner we stop kidding ourselves that we'll get overwhelming support from today's public, the better.

Somebody's mentioned the "Harry Potter" debacle, where the union in it's "wisdom" decided not to take strike action on the Saturday the latest stupid
book in that series came out, if my memory serves me correctly, the plaudits from a grateful public were truly underwhelming.

Still a strike at xmas would at least generate publicity unlike our other "oh are you on strike " actions, and all exposure gives the opportunity to explain the true facts.
Certainly would make a media blackout tricky

First we must secure a no vote. It is up to every one of us who support the no campaign to speak to our workmates about this crap deal. It's the yes voters who will remain silent, they must be convinced of the need to vote no! Then when we achieve our objective we must strike as soon as possible, if this is over christmas ,so be it. We must show RM no mercy, that we are doing this for ourselves and those that come after us. Our executive have spent too much time worrying about the public's perception of us, and also bending over backwards for RM every time they want to try and throw a spanner in the works and prevent us from going on strike.
This is our dispute-no mercy-no surrender!

I feel much the same in my heart but in my head... I cant see 130K of us walking out over xmas... Not even half.... REALLY AND IT BREAKS MY HEART!!!

I wish this UNION was as strong as in the 71 strikes.. (i was born in 70) As i would be up the front mate i tell ya....

CWUDINO mate its just IF we put the rank and file members in a corner we will fight each other as we have done before... IE,, WAYFORWARD,., NORTH V'S SOUTH,,.,.... The broke us with the London weighting i my book... I know the politics come in to it but the FRONT LINE PEOPLE MUST STICK TOGETHER MATE... Dont you agree????

I want a strong union and a together union of people going in the same direction... As many as we can.... PUSH THE BASTARDS IN POWER .... CWU and RM and Goverment... But lets think first and be smart.... Im gutted the PEC and billy n dave fecked up so bad....

I wanted to come out and keep the pressure on but now we are on the back foot until the NO VOTE (Hopefully :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray comes in)

Then hit em with rolling strikes straight after xmas.... 26th DEC.... COP THAT YOU BASTARDS!!!!

OUT :cfo :lfo

Make your mind up ,"it's not about public opinion" "we don't want to upset the public".

Course it's about money, but you are deluded if you think public opinion is not a factor in the Govt's RM's campaign , why so much effort put in to concealment and propaganda
