Hi Jafferpants. I`ve got mine and have emailed them for an illustration on how badly it efects me (done 14 years another 15 to go - or 20 ).

Hi strangler i'm afraid to say it was as i've been saying and have you noticed they only give examples of people with loads of service so as it dose'nt seem so bad the crafty bastards. It's been done for no other reason than to put loads more money back in rm's pocket, and note well the wording where it states after all the consultation and views have been heard THE MANGEMENT will make the FINAL decision. Like iv'e said guys with or without our consent.

I can't believe you are accusing the CWU of misleading its members after the sterling performance at the negotiating table, having won us so much and decoupled the pension and allowing you another vote which they are also recommending because it is so good - shame on you

One reason for joining a Union is to stop the erosion of workers rights and benefits. I was always told that my forefathers fought for our current conditions. We are in danger of thowing away our benefits without a fight. As for new members to the scheme, what will they think of our endeavours?

Is it not strange that the booklet arrived at the same time as the leaflet from the CWU saying that we are not voteing on the pension?. BUT WE ALL ARE FOR IF THIS AGREEMENT GET'S VOTED IN THEIR WILL BE NO PENSION WORTH PAYING INTO!.

Royalmail all come the "we" and "us" and "our people" it is not us who took the pension holiday for it is thay and thay should pay the price and pay it now.

Yep no lump sum for anyone who joined after april 1st 1987. What a disgrace that is. That would mean i reckon 65% of present workforce would lose out on a lump sum when retiring.

You don't get a lump sum if you're in POPS (planC), but you do get 60ths for each year rather than 80ths in POSSS (Plan A/B), so you get more pension, but no lump sum. That's the same for everyone now.

Can anyone tell me if you are,nt to be paid a lump sum after 87( I joined 90). Why for f...s sake does it say so on my illustration. Are they taking the piss? If I,m to get no lump and it says I will I,ll be taking legal advice to see what the score is. What a bunch of f.....g robbing b.....s
