We've been told that they won't be marked up as being LAT in any way and the runs for them are bound to be used to mop-up anything that's missed the normal runs. I don't think the existing LAT stuff arrives in time here to go out the same dayCelgar wrote:I would imagine they would marked up and separated in some way just as special delivery items are. It's RMs new product and they won't want to be home to Mr Cockup.SpacePhoenix wrote:Have heard that the LAT items won't be marked as LAT items in any way and no special york labels or bag labels either so we'll have no way of knowing if a Tracked item is a LAT item or not. If true it's a recipe for multiple LAT items failing, saying that for some MCs the LAT items are going to fail anyway

afaik the phase 2 stuff isn't going to be marked in anyway as LAT when it arrives at the MC so it'll just get processed as normal Tracked. We've only got about a a half hour window to process it and if it's more than 10mins late it'll fail as it won't get on a bay. The phase 1 stuff fails anyway as it comes in too lateNickvilla20 wrote:There marked up in a separate York they usually arrival about 12:45 they get scanned out for delivery then there taken out. Latter Acceptance Times. Basically selected companies are allowed to drop Tracked items into RDCs up to a latter time of night and still have it delivered on day Bhero22 wrote:What are these LATsi?

LATs route planning?
The LATs arrive in my office in a sleeved york with the purple tracked label with PM printed on it.
Regarding the new icon. It optimizes the route great but don't use the sat nav as it is still crap and can't be relied on.

I've been using the route planner and the sat nav last couple of days for LATs, it does a decent job finding best route between them, but doesn't plan for traffic or road closures.Stormproof wrote:The LATs arrive in my office in a sleeved york with the purple tracked label with PM printed on it.

Does anyone have the actual terms for LAT?
Our management are expecting already scanned tracked and normal parcels to be done by LAT drivers.

LAT's parcels take priority over everything. If time allows then the 24 hr tracked / parcels can be done followed by 48hr parcels etc. Management should not be using LAT time to cover USO / specials etc.matrix2808 wrote:Does anyone have the actual terms for LAT?

In our office so far, the LATs guy wont touch anything else even if they only had a parcel or two to do.

afaik phase 2 has been postponed to the end of this month. Based on the times posted in another thread, you won't need to worry about them in DOs as they'll miss the final runs to DOs

Our management is trying to push mail/lapsing onto LAT drivers if the packets are light.Route1 wrote:LAT's parcels take priority over everything. Still not getting anything marked with a gold sticker (not talking about Horizon labels) so as far as we're concerned there's no LAT items
