Pray tell me where you got those figures from!!
GPS accuracy depends on many things but these days with jitter turned off is generally accurate to within 2m within the UK Are you a subject matter expert? Telling colleagues something which is blatantly wrong may lead to unintended consequences when they try to use the info as a defence.

Ordnance Survey website states GPS accuracy within 5 to 10 metres.

Built up areas, wooded areas, etc, may reduce accuracy.

Mapping errors will introduce further errors.

Checking my own phone gps with Viewranger mapping app and comparing my location on that app's OS map, Open Street Map, Bing Aerial Imagery, etc, shows my location varying over a radius of around 20m whilst standing at my front door.

I prefer not to leave with neighbours, you never know they might not get on.

I knew of one driver who left a special with a next door neighbour, it turned out they don't like each other and it caused a sh1tstorm and he regretted it since.

Given that you shouldn't leave a Special Delivery with a neighbour I am surprised your colleague still has a job.

would count as misconduct in that case, much like losing a SD, youd be put on some kind of warning as in you made a mistake but were attempting to be genuine in your efforts. Its still not as bad as something which would count as gross misconduct which of course would be dismissal.

Maybe if you were a part timer who helped the boss out a lot.
If you were a "troublesome" full timer it would be failing to protect the integrity of the mail and dismissal,
