Postal workers are being balloted on strike action over the suspension of 12 of their colleagues.
About 100 workers at Royal Mail's Burslem could wreak further disruption to the region's postal service if they vote for stoppages as early as this month.
Representatives of the Communication Workers' Union (CWU) held meetings with members yesterday and informed Royal Mail that a strike is to go ahead unless an independent review is carried out over allegations of bullying and harassment.
It comes after unofficial walkouts at the depot in September when the 12 postal workers were suspended.
See The Sentinel tonight for the full story.

We dont have any choice, you wouldnt believe what theyve charged them with, i cant say at the moment because i dont want to predudice their cases but it really is an absolute joke,
well it would be if it wasnt so serious, this is nothing but a witch hunt, weve been a thorn in RMs side for a long time, and the way they see it is if they can break Burslem and force in change there,
then they can do it anywhere and believe me they will try, if this was about 12 people getting a fair hearing and being judged on the facts then fair enough, but we all know that this is a massive set up,
if the 12 had The Queen and the Pope as charactor witnesses RM would still sack them, this is a fight that Burslem must not lose...UNITY IS STRENGTH.
