Just out of interest, how many times did you put in applications before getting through to an interview, and did your first interview lead ou to the job?

Hi there, I first applied 14 years ago, probably applied 5 or 6 times and didn't get an interview. Then in last year or so I started applying again, whenever I saw a vacancy at local DO. Probably took 4 or 5 applications before I finally got an interview. I had almost given up hope of ever getting an interview with Royal Mail, so just goes to show, keep trying, it does happen. I didn't get the job at the interview but went on the waiting list and they contacted me a few weeks later to make an offer. I am now almost 2 weeks into the job and I am really enjoying it. Don't give up, keep applying and you will get there. Good Luck

11 Applications!!

Some were Position withdrawn & some unsuccessful

But on my 11th application I got an interview and the job, currently waiting for pre-employment checks to be completed

A lot! I'd say around 10/15 unsuccessful/withdrawn. Finally got an interview and got the job. Starting in 3 weeks!
