Please be so kind as to point me in the direction of a solicitor that will charge me less than £3 a week for this service. I am sure everyone else on here would be interested we could get them to check over some of the proposals and working practices.

There is obviously a clear distinction between the union which is us and our leadership . Nationaly indeed globaly union leaderships have within the last decade been increasingly acting as as a covert arm of state /global capitalist interests:One example the most recent ,today Virgin aircrew voted to reject the most vaunted Bransons pay agreement for the second time despite strong recommendation for acceptance by their union Unite.
Times have changed ,our exploiters have recognised that there is no need to fight the unions ,you simply subvert the leadership: what an excellent method of social control, all that anger and energy diverted up a blind and futile alley. End result = aims achieved and a demoralised supine workforce, leaderless and directionless ,fragmented and best of all easy prey.

Best we forget our traditional alliegances and move with the times. We are still the union, Don't let it be stolen from under our noses by an elite cabal as happened with the labour party. Be honest with yourselves whats the diff. labour - Tory -lib..

You don't get owt for nowt. If we want our union to represent our interests stop carping and put some effort in.

I'd fight the excesses of capitalism-its gone off the scale when certain footballers are paid £100,000 per week or two clowns like you know who get paid silly money for running Royal Mail. Not that i blame the footballers as individuals, its the money men behind the scenes who control this.
Of course they will just say its a supply and demand thing, i call it exploitation.
We wouldn't even have a minimum wage left to big business, they didn't want it so thats a plus for the Labour party. And we need our union more than ever at this present time to bat for us 3 quid is good value.

Well said mate. Last May I asked our DUM why Crazier was on such silly money. His answer was "It's no more than Steven Gerrard gets." So I said, Steven Gerrard brings pleasure to several thousand people. The only way Adam would do that is by popping his clogs.

As for the minimum wage, I reckon it's about time there was a maximum one. That would bring these rich parasites down to earth.

If we did'nt have a union or we had mass non membership you could see clearly where we would be the next time you want a wage rise or protection with your working conditions you'd be laughed at, you would still be seeing kids running up chimneys and under machines and working down mines,these are all things that unions have stopped you have H/S all be it a joke to RM's management and lip service when it says we dont bully or harrasse staff but it is there and they are all things that we as members have benifited from,what the people should remember for everything that we fight for and get as union members the non members get so they have alot to thank us for all the sacrficeis we have made what should happen is they should get everything that royal mail want to put in and get nothing that we have faught for.

there is a very good name for people who are employed by this company who dont join the union, fortunately for them i'm a well mannered human being and will keep my opion on hold for the moment.....................................

people like them make me sick they want all the financial benefits but are unwilling to stand up and be counted, they are the most ars licking grovelling scumbags i have ever had the misfortune to work with and as for being disaplined under any form of conduct, well thats alien to those sort of arswipes because of the way there tongues are so far up any managers arshole.
scabbing whenever and where ever they are ask, winning all sorts of Royal Mail promotions i.e cars etc etc....and these f**k hole, w**k, b******s have the f**king check to expect dignity and respect, well i say not from me, there f**king strike breakers

I have to say though that my DO was 100% out 100% of the time but not all of my colleagues are in the Union. So I have to disagree with that point. However, anyone who crosses a picket line is fully deserving of your non personal vitriol if they are in the Union, and worse if they are a Union Official. Some at my unit for reasons I do not understand (perhaps its politics) do not believe in unions and although I do not understand their position I do respect that they are entitled to their views and choices.

i had a small number of non union guys stay out didnt cross the line even though they not members i have more respect for them then the strike breakers and non union guys who crossed the line
