Shows how much the company respects us if after 10 hours you get paid less than what you would at base rate.

I believe it was brought in to stop/discourage people working so much 0/T, however from memory the actual basic pay went up.

Just sat down with a payslip and done the maths

Basic rate: 11.39ph
B/R + Del Sup: 12.05
OT (first 10hrs):11.49
OT (over 10hrs) :11.31

Not done an SA recently so no idea about that. Would be amazed if it was much more than 11.55.
Thank you.

What about sspr over time? I’m sure it’s just over £12. Anyone know what it stands for and why it’s more?

Overtime rate may be low, but perhaps they know that most overtime paid is absence overtime, and that type of overtime is often done on a “half a round for three hours” jobby?

SSPR is the overtime rate part time staff are paid between their contracted hours and 38 hours.
It includes the delivery supplement and any other supplements your area might enjoy.

I think it stands for Single Standard Pay Rate
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
