Backdated pay for Angard
Just spoke with someone from the payroll department and asked about the unpaid tea breaks and whether or not they'd be paid back, he said that they wont be paid back

Anybody looked at this week's payslip yet? The backpay is double what I expected for July. If I include the August earnings I can get within a few pounds but depends if I include the 1st July which was supposedly paid in the last lot of backpay according to the first email but the same date is used again for start of this backpay according to the latest email. Either way if I multiply by 5% I can't get an exact match. If August isn't included then I'm now in front of what I've been expecting.

They probably fu@ked up the first round of back-pay calculations, and this is now correcting it, in the hope you won't notice.tabact wrote:Anybody looked at this week's payslip yet? I can’t get my back pay to match July’s shifts no matter how I do it. It’s not enough to make up for the shortfall in the Oct-Jun back pay, but more than I was expecting. I hope they hurry up in providing some sort of calculation method.

The Rep seems to be having difficulties in obtaining an answer, but continues to send me ‘holding replies’.

Just to let people know I still haven’t received a reply to my email querying the back pay calculations that I sent on 1st August! I’ve had a couple of emails saying “bear with us” but not even a partial answer to my questions. My back pay appears to be substantially short but I don’t know for definite because I’ve no idea how they calculated it!!

The next pay rise kicked in yesterday with the working week being one hour shorter so will they finally update the pay rate next week, probably not knowing Angard? Maybe they have been waiting for this increase to combine the two together as it has dragged on so long?nothingatthemoment wrote:Soon be time for the next pay-rise , the way angard are going.

Emailed Angard today querying the lack of the pay rise and got the reply that Royal Mail are working alongside the relevant unions to finalise relevant changes for all agencies utilised by Royal Mail including Angard. The same breaks and holiday issues flagged up at the tribunal have probably been used acrross the board e.g. agency drivers. No date given for the pay rise and apparently once the changes have been agreed we will get extensive details. I didn't get an answer on the lack of back pay in September.

Agency drivers have already been given back-dated pay for T-breaks.tabact wrote:Emailed Angard today querying the lack of the pay rise and got the reply that Royal Mail are working alongside the relevant unions to finalise relevant changes for all agencies utilised by Royal Mail including Angard. From what I've heard their breaks are now being paid , which were back-dated for six months and holiday pay has also been adjusted.
