They cant be bundled up together as different rounds have different door to doors depending on the area. You sometimes even get van shares with different door to doors, its just wouldnt be possible having them pre-bundled.

I had six on the round i was on last saturday, loads to houses i wasnt going to with mail but had to clear them all as it was a saturday. I smiled and thought of the OT, its why we go in right, ten hours OT in one day easy money

Is there ever cases where different parts of the same walk have different d2ds?

Yes, for example my duty firms Domino’s go every address but most of the rest only go to the residential so top half of frame don’t get any as there businesses.

It's unwise to nest them as they'll only breed.

I suspect the quoted stats reflect the fact that most people have probably read one leaflet that came through their door in the past years and a fair majority have ordered something in that extended time frame too. It patently doesn't apply on a weekly basis, which is what RM are trying to imply.

Yes. Usually on town walks where there are businesses/shops and residential addresses there will be splits for D2Ds.

Was that your day off or how'd you work 10 hours above your contract hours?! what time did you finish?

CWU Should seriously ask Royal Mail for a deal where we get no pay rise for 3 years and scrap D2D's. They are NOT worth the money..I'd easily take £30 from my pay a week to get rid of them. So no pay rise for X amount of time and with the reduced hour per year for full time contracts it won't affect jobs.

I have read some pretty stupid things on this forum over the years but this beggars belief.

I know the standard is a sixth per day but I would rather get the majority of them delivered on Monday & Tuesday when it is a bit quieter. You don't want slots full of D2Ds on Wednesday & Thursday when there is loads more mail. As long as they all get delivered in the week I don't think RM is too bothered. The one sixth idea is designed to avoid arguments between posties about some not doing their fair share.

dropping from 39 to 35 hours. 4 hours.
4 / 5 days (Thats what our office does)
48 mins per day....
D2d's doesn't take me that long per day...if it does for u then u must be doing something very wrong

Glad ur not negotiating either...If u like d2d's so much u can do mine..add another of that 48 mins a day haha
