just sounds like theres too much work for MCs to cope with and the only way to solve it without adding more staff at MCs is give them more time, which is going to result in mail arriving at DOs later, which means be prepared for later start times.

One thing that DO staff need to keep in mind is that apart from specials and collections on delivery, there isn't really any deadlines as such (apart from being done on a particular day). In a MC you've got the deadline of what time the lorry goes out to another MC, an RDC or to a DO.

Tracked items have to be delivered the same day otherwise heads roll.
If percentages of 2D barcodes fall below 90% consistently there will be trouble.
Too many other rules to mention as well that RM can potentially catch you out on if you are unlucky.
