Parcelforce Worldwide is running a short trial of self-serve kiosks that will allow customers to pay for a parcel shipment at the kiosk or alternatively to do it online and use a mobile QR code to print labels on-site via the kiosk at the depot, before handing the parcel to counter staff.

The trial is running in depots in London Central, Newcastle and Milton Keynes, with the trial due to end mid-September. The customer user experience will be analysed throughout. The kiosks are accessible by customers from 8am to 7pm during the week and on Saturday mornings from 8am to 12.30pm.

“With these self-serve kiosks, it means that our customers don’t need to have a printer at home and can utilise our self-serve kiosks in order to quickly and easily send and print labels in our depots,” said a spokesperson for Parcelforce Worldwide. “We are very interested in the outcome of the trial to understand whether customers find it a positive experience.”
