What exactly is postman with driving

Hi, Just wondering what exactly is this role and what do we do? I applied recently and got an interview for tomorrow. Just curious and want to know more info about this role.

The way we do rounds now is 2 people in a van. Basically you both loop round the van, then when done, move it to the next location. Mostly its walking, but the need a driver to move the van - that's why they describe it as Occasional Driving.

Van driver can also do individual parcels/special deliveries as part of their activities if they cannot be handled on foot due to size or urgency.

rural rounds can also be single person driving duties as it is not efficient to have 2 people in the van due to the spread of the addresses over the duty (my DO cover rural duties and are all single).
