Have I messed up my interview...?

Post by pandapop91 »

Hi Guys!

So I had my interview on Monday and it went really well but they asked me a fact about Royal Mail. I panicked as I was feeling quite ill and I couldn’t think of anything! I

I have been stressing since Monday that it's ruined my chances. Can anyone give me some reassurance that it won't affect the outcome?

Your answers are scored and the result of the interview is determined by the highest totals. Even though you may not have done well on one particular question, you may have scored significantly better on other questions. It all depends on the quality of the other candidates.

Just generally what questions they asked ? Were there any questions you weren't expecting? Also was it a one on one interview? What if any tips could you pass on? Like i previously stated i haven't had a interview for long time so any help would be greatly appreciated and wish you luck again for the job.

They asked me pretty standard questions. 6 situation questions such as name a time where worked as a time. I can’t remember now but pretty standard. They talked about the job itself and they wanted to see if I had any questions. I said a couple and they asked if I wanted to know anything else so make sure you have a couple of questions to ask.
My friend is a postie and I asked her what questions they asked and said different ones so not sure what they will ask you but just do your research. Hope that helps

I would ask:

If I am successful will I be allocated a specific delivery round or will I be a duty cover/leave reserve? (ie covering different rounds which may have different working
hours to those which are put in the job advert - pertinent if you need to finish at a specific time as you will come under pressure to finish a round
regardless of your contracted hours)

I have a holiday booked for ....... next year - can you confirm that I will get that time off?
