Got my offer and start date, contract says 27.5hrs on £9.51 plus £20 supplement weekly & possible shift pay. Would I be working more than 27.5hrs a week as over 5 days that's only 5.5hrs a day? Also as a postman I would imagine it mostly early starts would you get shift pay? Lastly is pay weekly or monthly
Thanks

You will most likely be working 9:30 - 3:00, 5 Days a week, the early starts are for the full timers as this is when the prep work is done, so about 90% of your work will be outdoors. The delivery supplement is £23.95 per week pro rata, works out 61p per hour up to 39 hours. Your pay goes up roughly 50p per hour after 6 months then 50p again at 1 year, however we’re due a pay increase anytime around now. Your paid weekly. There are usually opportunities for overtime if you want it however I wouldn’t advise it until you find your feet as your first couple of months will be rough.primetime1985 wrote:Got my offer and start date, contract says 27.5hrs on £9.51 plus £20 supplement weekly & possible shift pay.
