PDA data being checked by manager's

The DOM or local rep can drill down to individual walk , the route they go , Time it takes etc.
What a load of shite.
You make it sound like it's something out of the space centre instead of the feck up it really is.

The favourites will still get home early, the slower or less able will still get shafted but have even more to do to make up for the favourites and cwu reps mates. and the union higher ups will still turn a blind eye to it as they let the local reps dictate as they have been on a course to stiff their fellow colleagues whilst looking out for number 1.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

GPS tracking is pretty basic for even the most basic phones released today, they can 100% track your PDAs every location

How are they getting in trouble?
One colleague booked 20 mins extended yesterday from 14.40 till 15.00,this morning a manager said they had got back at 2pm according to the pda!
Well that is just stupid on the colleagues part. If he didn't work the overtime then he should have cancelled it ASAP.

Say it takes them about 40mins to get from wherever the last letter is delivered back to the DO, and say it takes 30mins to do whatever they have to DO in the DO when they get back (hand in 739s, PDA, van keys, etc). If they're logging off as soon as they deliver the last letter, higher up will possibly see that as 70mins that can potentially be taken out of the office
Once you enter the geofence, it is assumed you will be signing out 5 mins thereafter. 10 mins if you are on a singleton duty.

Can’t wait to see this fully implemented in my DO. The entire place runs on good will and Overtime. I can guarantee it won’t go down smoothly

Why assume anything? Surely it's written down in black and white when you sign out?

Takes way more than 5 minutes for me to get a york to load all my P739 returns onto, unload the van then take my stuff inside. I then have to take the van to the local council car park (too many vans for our yard), find a space and then walk back to the office. Only then can I sort out my returned packets into the appropriate york, hand my keys in, dock my PDA and then most importantly fill out my docket :chuckle

Information is empowering, but only to those that can access it. PDA Actuals aren't some 1950s sci-fi computer that benevolently rules us for our own good, it's a bunch of data only the DOM can see. And only the DOM will be acting on it, and only when it benefits the office budget/their bonus.

Walk too long? Don't expect anything to come off. Instead you'll be told the PDA Actuals reveal you aren't working correctly. Remember, it's not about making you work harder, it's about working smarter! :confused

That is a fair point and this will be taken in to account I am sure. I was referring simply to most DO's with on-site parking and where the locker is on same floor. It is simply used as a guide whereby entering the geofence signifies the return time. The time taken for ancillary tasks at end of shift is something that would be negotiated during revisions at a local level.

What would be a rough average % across the country of vans that can't be parked on the DO site and so have to be parked off-site? Do the Tracked items in a DO get processed on the floor or in the SD lockers (presumably any docket left Tracked items get stored wherever the normal docket left items are stored)?
