We can't have too much coming through as there's only 1/2 an hour available to process it, and that's assuming that it comes in on timedingo wrote:Remember there is only one customer on the LAT which is Bloom and Wilde. The launch was meant to take place from October but Royal Mail wanted to make sure some of the issues were ironed out before taking on new customers.
There are several big customers in discussions about going live from October.
No one can predict the numbers for each hub as it is subject to customers ordering the product. When the RDC scan the item the Hub than gets the manifest saying how many items the Hub has and what addresses.
On the first day Bloom and Wild had a promotional offer so volumes were higher. This will happen when other customers come on board from October and of course at such times as Black Friday , Cyber Monday , christmas , Valentine day , mother’s day etc.

I'm a postie that has signed up for this. I'm enjoying it thoroughly, I am positive it will take off. If there are no parcels I do extra delivery which is hard work but extra money.

Well am guessing a lot of offices are dealing with this differently.
In my office some part timers got made up to full time to cover this new LAT.
We do a walk in the morning/afternoon then collect the LAT from m.c and take to d.o to deliver in the afternoon/ early evening.
It's been pretty quiet so far as some days it was simply flowers in (supposed) letterbox sized parcels.
But other times it's been zara,Amazon and other random packets (feeling these might've simply been missorts to fill out the delivery)
So far it's went well but will see how it goes when it gets busy.

Is there anything on the label to show it's an LAT parcel? Obviously RM don't want to pay you to sit around if there's no LAT parcels to deliver so it makes sense they will give you whatever is available to fill your timeTristral wrote:Well am guessing a lot of offices are dealing with this differently.

There's been no mention of it in our office, guessing it may be being covered by a larger office nearby

Are they marked up in any way to show that they're LAT items or are they marked up just like a normal Tracked 24 item?
