Give advice instead of sniping from the cheap seats.

Freeze water bottles the night before
Fresh fruit - nothing that will squash easily
If you have a shop nearby the odd ice cream doesn't hurt

Personal thing I guess, but I don't eat either. Never really ate breakfast in my life. As you're just starting you are probably part time meaning five or six hour days, surely you can eat breakfast before work? Just one less thing to carry.
As for drinks I have one of those thurmus flasks, keeps my coffee red hot in winter or my squash ice cold this time of year

Part time yes. Never really been a big breakfast eater. Was just wondering what people found easiest to snack on on the go and kept the energy levels up. I’ll prob stick to snack bars n fruit, but obviously see what works for me as time goes on.postietom wrote:Personal thing I guess, but I don't eat either. Never really ate breakfast in my life. As others have said frozen water bottles help.
For snacks oat bars are good.
Or a banana as long as you can put it somewhere it won't squash like inside your spare shoes if you carry a pair with you.
Jelly babies good for energy boost in energy sapping weather too.

On a different issue, is there any kind of agreement about what Royal Mail should provide for us? We haven't got a pop machine or anything. We're only a small unit so I obviously don't expect anything like a canteen but us able to buy a chilled tin of Coke or something on these hot days would be nice!

We have a coffee/tea vending machine at our DO which is filled up and dealt with by an external contractor.SpacePhoenix wrote:Who'd fill them up and deal with the money? It's not rocket science and not difficult to organise and set up.
