And what about the annoying double slots that many frames have. Do you get double time to prep. Once the d2ds are in there's no room for mail.

Agreements will be waved in the air and emails exchanged and promises of clarification and intervention from divisional reps will be made but for the foreseeable future Royal Mail look like they have no intention of playing ball and the CWU leadership already look on the back foot ushering in huge changes at pace while admitting there is still no discernable improvements to the way members are treated on a daily basis.Introducing the SWW during the busiest time of the year says it all.Red rag to a bull.

THat is my working day summed up to a T.
I'm a bit skeptical about" CWU leadership being on the back foot ' , how could they not have noticed ,it is what they are paid for.
Incompetence or on board with management in their lovely new partnership that combines diametrically opposed interests?

D2D prep should be built in to the IWT and it shouldn't be a case of everyone gets 11 minutes. If people have 6 or 7 items then they should be allocated more time in IWT to prep than those only receiving 1 or 2.

in our d/o they assume once doing households that you're well ahead of the game and quickly stop you to do something else

now i do them early on and it appears i'm behind everyone else and get left to do the job i'm tasked with,
i once sent back a few boxes that'd failed week before by leave reserves, i'd decided to do them off my own back and my line manager stopped me thinking they were this weeks, i didn't say anything,
i was just trying to help the guys who'd had a bad week covering, failed households is still pretty common and they don't say anything if a few run over as long has they disappear, anything to enable lapsing

managers faces when i dumped them in their office and explained i tried to get rid of them but got stopped by lino

D2D should only be delivered in the relevant week they have been contracted to be delivered in. To do otherwise is to fail the contract and it could get back to the contractor that this has occured. If other posties have not delivered them the week before they have broke the rules and it is not wise or your responsibility to try and cover that up.
