WAITING LIST

Post by Fedup2 »

Hi all.

New to here.

Could anyone give me more information on the waiting list as I was placed on it today for 3 months.

Do I need to reapply for jobs in Ipswich or do hr contact you if there is a job.

Are you guarantee of getting a job on the waiting list within the three month.

Please help with any information.

Many thanks

Hi, make sure you have set up the job alerts and if you see one you want then apply. I have seen on here where people are on the list and they get in contact but I would be more proactive and look yourself. Apply via the link they sent you in the email about being on the waiting list. It will ask you to do the online tests but don't do them as it will register you are on the waiting list. Personally if there is a job that comes up close to you but not in your preferred DO it would still apply as there is no guarantee a job will come up at the one you want and being on the list is still no guarantee if there are no jobs there, you may need to be flexible. I was on the waiting list and I got my job in time and 4 months in I'm loving it. GOOD LUCK

Hi, I have just today been advised gone on waiting list as higher scoring candidates offered post I applied for. The email said if I applied again for similar role not to do the on-line assessment and I would be considered along with other waiting list candidates.

I was waiting for this as knew if I applied another post advertised locally would be withdrawn whilst original application being processed so I have tonight applied for this other position at different sorting office.

I didn't get any 'waiting list apply' link on the email I was sent and have applied on the RM Careers website like I did originally.

I'm worried now as have just had the request to do on-line assessment within 48 hours and am wondering if there should have been a shortcut apply link on the email they sent me - there definitely isn't one!

Does anyone have a direct e-mail address for RM Careers that I could use to find out? There isn't one anywhere I can see on RM Careers website.

Thanks.

:confused

:wave Thanks for the replies - I didn't do the on-line test again despite not having a link on their email telling me was on the waiting list and today got an email to say successful for one of the jobs I applied for on Friday night - subject to security checks of course! :dance

I've also been put on the waiting list for 3 months but I can't for the life of me find out how to sign up for job alerts, can someone please point me in the right direction, I don't want to miss any jobs coming up near me.

You should be able to set up job alerts in your my candidate profile on royal mail group.com . This is where it showings you applications etc. I personally also checked on the universal job search site by the government as this also showed the jobs in my area. Just remember if u see one to click on the link in the email you were sent so they know you are on the waiting list

There is no link in my email so the only way I can apply is to do it directly does this mean they won't know I'm on the waiting list?

Same here. On 3 month waiting list and no link mentioned or provided. It just says:
If you see similar roles on our website (Delivery, Processing and Collections) you will need to apply but the good news is you do not need to complete the online tests so please disregard the automated email that asks you to complete them. You will also not be required to attend another interview.
Can anyone confirm that applying without a link for us on the waiting list is automatically/reliably recognised?

I also have been put on the waiting list yesterday an didn’t receive a link in the email either (just the same email as above)
Today another job has been advertised at the same delivery office where I had my interview which has confused me. I have applied so hopefully they will know I’m on the waiting list (fingers crossed)

I got an email 10 days ago saying I had passed the interview stage and have been added to the waiting list. It says I will still need to apply for roles but I won't need to do the assessments or an interview and will be considered with other waiting list candidates and be contacted by the Recruitment Team. However, since then any roles I have applied for have said "Unfortunately we cannot progress your application at this time as you did not meet our minimum criteria". Is this normal? or do I have to apply in some other way? Thanks

Is best to email myapplication@royalmail.com to let them know that you applied for another position, supply the link to that job and to remind them that you are a waiting list candidate.
It`s what i did and got the job after 4 applications while I was on the waiting list.
