Average Sorting Time.

Post by oxboy »

Hi guys can i ask what the average length of sorting is in the mornings in your offices we are doing regular two and a half hours if not more and on top of this they want to get rid of our night shift.
So are you doing more than us who holds the record,

Our office IPS is done by town rounds, 5:15 til 6:30. 1 or more yorks are usually left unsorted each day to be carried over to the next day. Despite this the DOM lets the town duties go home before 12 every day.

Sorting times mmmmmmm

We start on the sorting at 6am until at least 7.30, but when the mail is at its heaviest its up to 8am, then the missort van comes in at 9am, then we can go out at 9.30am.It just doesnt help we have full timers coming off the sorting to throw their over time walks out, and to throw out walks for the part timers.

our office sorts 6am to 8 mon to fri and full timers can hope to leave between 9.30 and 10.30 depending upon volume of mail... As for overtime walks, they would not go out if the line managers did not prep them :pray Please do half a walk to help out :Boo hoo!
