5 'Application Unsuccessful's

Been on the waiting list a month already, applied for 5 jobs; 2 came off due to unforeseen circumstances & 3 of them, my application could not go any further or something along those lines.

What is going on? Am i doing something wrong? Will i EVER get a job? It's really upsetting!! Got 2 rejections on my birthday!!
