First aiders in vehicle services workshops

Post by Workshopmadness »

I've recently heard of a death on a royal mail site . no first aiders were on site when the person took unwell . Who knows this persons life could of been saved . Got me thinking what if someone in the workshop dropped Down and was having a heart attack . Do you have a first aider ?. I know at my work we only have them in the mail centre. . Last time they took 30 mins to respond to a call asking for a first aider to attend the workshop . If I had to try and save someone's life I wouldn't know what to do . Royal mail is all about safety and making sure we are safe. But I now see a serious lack in our first aid . I'm interested to hear what other workshops are like ?

In any given site of any given business (no matter what industry) isn't meant to be 1 1st aider per so many staff?

I think it's something like one first aider per 25-50 people .
