Interview response time

Post by Taylor93 »

Hi all
I attended an interview on the 15/05 for a postman with driving. I thought it went pretty well to the assumption of already feeling like i got the job before i left the room, i was strictly told i would find my result out in 14 days as youd of guessed 14 days went by and not a single update, my online appication still says interview/assessment 15/05. Ive since messaged the application recruitment team for an update but no response from them either!! Has anyone had any similar trouble? Im in the final week of my current job through redundancy and its incredible frustrating as i feel a bit in limbo mode

Don’t despair. It was 4 weeks before I found out I’d passed the interview. That was 2 weeks ago and now I’ve got my conditional offer. Can expect at least 2 weeks for the security checks before I get my formal offer. You’ve just got to be patient.
Good luck.

I had my interview on the 29th and the manager said I'd receive and email as to whether I've been successful or not within a week. Was he being optimistic by any chance?

That's ridiculous. The manager said it's usually 5 weeks from the date of the interview to when you start but obviously that ain't right from what I've read here!

Could I not just pay extra for special delivery and get the job quicker that way? Lmao

That is all lies from reading this forum! Haha would be great if we could do that. Have no clue how long I will be waiting for an induction date now either

i do, been a horrid couple of months can wait to leave  the wait wouldnt of been so bad if i knew id of passed, i do wonder if you failed youd of been notified straight away rather than drag it on for weeks so im quite optimistic hoping the long wait is for background checks and future training courses etc

I was just about to ask the same thing. I'm hoping the longer the wait the better. Why would they bother taking ages to get back to you if it's a no?

Do we all work at sainsburys haha! They update you at each step so when u hear it will be yes/no or waiting list. Then they send separate emails for security checks etc.
