Sort To Clear

Post by oxboy »

Should have probably said in my post we have sort to clear as well is this a national thing as we are led to believe all offices are adopting this now or is this spin and we are just being made to clear and being lied to as per normal.

Just a question which post - this is the first in the thread.

However, to answer this post we don't operate a sort to clear - we did before the backlog but not any more. IMO we are operating a day behind, as the "Missort" run seems to bring in that days work anyway and we have already been sorting the previous days for 2 hours.

I posted on the average sort times but then realised that as in our office we have a sort to clear policy on a normal day i wondered if other offices had this policy

sort to clear

Since the IA we have been nowhere near to clearing every day. Must have left 8 yorks yesterday morning and that had been joined by at least ANOTHER 10 by 1.00 lunch time  NO chance of getting close to clearing that lot tomorrow :d'oh!

6.15 start sorting till 7.30 ish and all bags to driver by 9 so 1.15 sorting time, break 0900-10.15 with retrieval around 9.45 to be sorted so delivery ends at 1330 .... management want to monitor every minute to make sure they get 8hrs so give them what they want NO MORE NO LESS this tactic of removing good will is working in our favour and every backed up york gives us more power to negotiate. WE WENT ON STRIKE to tell them it was a bad idea to mess with starting times so every bit of extra you give is a slap in the face to your fellow workers.

Our beloved charman (no not mao) told us that mailsort does not have to go on saturday ..No if's or buts if i even see it in mech bundles i pull it. As the lsm guys only put it through because they are told to not because it's got to go
after all it's a reduced delivery time on a saturday or at least so they tell us................just say no!!!!!

I know we should pull it axe, but we are generally so heavy everyday, especially mondays, these days, so its less of a pain to do it on the day.
