Help! How do you view the DBS certificate

Hi guys, I have set up my online account with dbs and linked it using the code but I can’t seem to view the certificate. What info of the letter should I be using for the certificate number. Please help! Thanks

How long after starting security checks do you get this dbs info about checking the progress?

They sent me an email on the 1st saying they had submitted them and I got the letter today

From receiving the “congratulations” email , the next correspondence I got was 19 days later asking me to provide the DVLA code needed to allow them to check my driving licence. You can generate multiple codes , so I would recommend doing it now, just to check everything is ok. You can then generate another one when asked by RM. I then received another email on the same day asking me to provide a photo to the manager of the DO I would be starting at. This email also said my security checks would now be submitted. This is the DBS checks which can take up to 14 days. You get the code to track and RM get the certificate. After they receive it RM use your notice period to work out the next available induction day in your area , and you normally start the day after. It can seem to vary by individual from what I’ve seen on this forum !

Well, it took 4 weeks to find out the result of the interview, so I’m expecting another long, frustrating wait. And I thought the 7 months it took when I was joining the Royal Fleet Auxiliary was a long time lol.

No problem at all. I finally figured out how to view the certificate if anyone ever needs to know! Mine is all clear so should hear about start date anytime soon hopefully

You need to set up an online account with DBS and then in the top left there is an icon where you use the authorisation code from the letter to link it. Then you click on manage dbs check and it will say about a one tim code that you get via email, you type code in and it will show you the checks, click on the numbers under the heading and it will come up. I've created an account and clicked on manage DBS checks and entered my passcode, but now it says I haven't got any applications, am I doing anything wrong?

On the view application status page I can see my application number and my complete stages and it says that my certificate has been issued and despatched on the 23 however I haven't received it yet. Do I need to send my certificate to RM or give them a passcode?

Did you link it? There’s an icon in top left? Then if u read post above it explains how to view it

If your certificate was clear then just sit and wait! I was in the same boat as you on the 17th ish and my status date online changed on the 23rd so just waiting to find out from RM now

Yeah my dbs is all clear thank God, my last status change was on the 15th of May ( it still says pre-employment checks ) and my dbs letter was sent on the 23rd of May

The status date should change again once someone from hr updates it and then hopefully after that u hear back.
