Hey Everyone!
Well done!
It was an Induction Day when I joined in 2012 but it is probably much the same. You won't learn much about doing the job other than how to lift things (bend your knees, not your back) and how to push a "York" container. Most of it will be sitting round tables watching videos and being talked to and learning about the company. Pretty relaxed stuff. Make sure you are paid for it and also paid any overtime for it!

Ah ok sounds alright :) yes I will, is it the same rate as what you start as a postman/lady on?

Yes, you should be paid the normal hourly rate up to a total of 39 hours worked. Assuming you are part time make sure you check the total number of hours in your first week and ask about how to claim if need be. Overtime is paid the week after the week you have worked it.
