Or maybe you'll need courier insurance , a lot of insurance companies exclude this from business use because of the higher risk. A bit of a insurance minefield ,best avoided.

The person in the OP is not carrying mail in their car as far as I understand it.
They are just taking their own car up to the area where their delivery is so that they can just head home from there at the end.
Yes they would need business insurance for such a purpose.
