Lots of the guys will never let on Thier applying for a vacant walk they like to keep it secret, they will tell you that's the worst in the office don't go for it mate. But in reality it's a decent walk. TRUST NO ONE. My advice is apply for it, it depends what you want. Reserve duties, floater duties usually are shite . It could be an absolute shite of a walk. You need to put the feelers out with some of the guys you trust. You will have to decide !!!!!!

In our DO we have a sheet of paper on the notice board if there is a walk free to sign for. Applicant with the highest seniority gets the walk. If no one has signed for it that would usually imply there are problems with the duty. You should ask others you trust in the office about the duty first.
Are you a member of the union? If not that may the cause of the trouble you are having.
