Prep your frame and only bag up what you can take to cover yor working hours, tell him this and that because you are not taking it out of the office you are also not bringing it back , so no agreement is made . He must then get cover for it himself.
Your manager sounds like a man under great stress who cannot cope with what is happening at RM
Our hours are 7am - 1.30 everyday , were not allowed out before 9.30am apart from saturadays but we still work by job and knock as long as we havent left any post to prep when we get back.

That looks decent next to ours:

Mon + Tue 0600 - 1400

Wed/Thu/Fri 0600 - 1430 (with Wed being 1400 if day off not Thu or Fri)

Saturday 0600 - 1300 -
