Probably never going to happen. Many MCs probably don't get the volume of flats to justify any sort of dedicated flat sorting machine.deetee wrote: Flats to come in walk sorted and more sequenced mail, is this right? Otherwise its not possible in our office.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The buddy box has cut our IPS right down, we now have 2 people throwing off walks instead of sorting. Any increase in sequenced mail/parcels will free up more time from IPS so it doesn't take a genius to see that RM will be doing their upmost to get these machines up and runningSpacePhoenix wrote:Probably never going to happen. The only way that will ever happen is if RM bring in machines to sort and possibly sequence flats and letters together. Don't know about other smaller MCs but there's no way that we get enough flats through to justify the cost of any machine to sort themA2B wrote:The buddy box has cut our IPS right down, we now have 2 people throwing off walks instead of sorting.
