It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

No the recruitment process in Royal Mail is notoriously slow.
Its been 15 days since my interview. Recruitment advised me that the interview paperwork hadn't yet been received by the DOM. Can I assume that the successful candidate has been advised and I'm either on the waiting list, or failed? Or in Royal Mail times, this is quite normal. Just getting a little anxious now because there are jobs at other delivery offices that I'm unable to apply for until I know the outcome of my interview.

Its been described as glacial more than once on here. Just hang in there, it has gotten quicker when I started it took nearly 4 months, that was 14 years ago though.fiveoclockhero wrote:No the recruitment process in Royal Mail is notoriously slow.

Hi.
I received my email about security checks on the 2nd of March and the email about driving licence on the 5th of March. I still haven’t heard anything back. It’s been two months now with no word and they won’t even respond to my email asking for an update. Anyone know if this is normal?

I waited two weeks between my security email and not hearing so I gave up and emailed them and within an hour I had an email saying they were going to send my dbs check off and could I email a photo over. Tuesday my dbs check was sent and I’m now waiting to hear back from that. Fingers crossed x

It’s strange that they haven’t responded to my emails then. Could I ask what address you emailed and also what area of the country you’re applying for?
