What does it matter at which time you start on a sataurday it is more important what time you finnish and with the advent of felxibility and 9 to 10 hour duty span's i'd be very woried for a finish before 2 to 3 o'clock in the afternoon!

We are not taking any Mail Sort at all on Saturdays and if they try it I will be seeing the DOM. My walk has 4 Safe Drops and 2 are closed on Saturdays - It takes 15 Minutes to walk between the 2 if I have to do that. Therefore unable to complete and Image

The whole thing is a farce, our place was normally 5-45 now it's 6,not a major problem.
But now we're looking at 4 day weeks and yes the start times will be 5,i mean it seems it's one big lie!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Start times.

We were told about the late starts due to Logistics etc, also we wouldnt have to wait around for 2nd ,3rd wave as it would all be there. Now we still send a guy to get the third wave, so are still stood around for 30 mins+ each day. What a Farce!!

The mail sort on a Saturday issue was agreed with the union, so unless it's done under executive action the agreement stands until otherwise agreed with the union.
As for the later starts, 95% of 7.5 tonne trucks never go on a road thats 60 mph or more so it is aload of bollox about them taking longer to get to delivery offices because they are now restricted to 56 mph.
The mail arrives in our office at 4.45am, 2 guys get payed to come in & tip yet the rest of us aren't allowed to start until 6.15. We actually have to sort mail for a rural office that doesn' leave our DO until 6.50 am at the earliest.
EXPLAIN THAT ONE SADDAM CROZIER.

Similar to CARTHORES. we have been told that we can't get the missort run on time on Saturday so we can't go back to 5 oclock. As far as I'm concerned if the deal gets voted in I am back on a 5am Saturday and arrival times are the managers problem not mine.
I'm a NO VOTER anyway.

our times have moved on saturday from 6 till 2 to 6 till 1.We make up for this by adding 12 mins. a day monday -friday.Our manager says we will fail every saturday .Obviously I am devastated by that. ;liar

Saturday attendance times

Post by cockney rebel »

In the pay agreement it clearly states:

Saturdays – start times and length of attendances will be unchanged,
and in the actual pay agreement it states:

4. SECTION 2 – DELIVERING CHANGE AND FLEXIBILITY

• Saturday start times and the overall length of attendance on a Saturday will remain as before unless
agreed otherwise locally

Why is it then that offices all around the country are being asked if they want to change their start times?
The Sat attendance times should be as before the dispute!
Like the agreement says "Unless agreed otherwise locally"
If you think they can get away with it then they can! fight for your rights!!
