this is the post of the financial year so far
you may be cynical but 1 of your comments is just silly, the "more work" comment should really have said "a lot" in front
The PDA actuals could be used to kick the managers up the arse ........ you allow your posties to do ghost overtime they book 45 mins and then finish before there duty
finish time
the DSM looks at your office O/T figures and wonders why your manager is allowing overtime to be payed out and staff go home early ......

anyway
weve been told if the revision comes in before sept/oct ish that's what will happen...
if it doesn't get passed it will be down to "pda actuals" and the union seem to think its the last thing we`ll want.
in future all revsions will be done through the pda they tell us.
yes that's true no more planners , no more georoute , this is where posties need to start doing the job right , no more free work , take breaks and use methods.

Our union rep said to us yesterday, that with the implementation of PDA actuals, everyone should now realise this is the end of the 'job & finish' culture. We now all will have to 'work to rule' effectively.
to true and its about time everybody did , its the early starters , the runners that have allowed this company to take deliverys out , collapse , make dutys bigger and even allowed dims to b&h the people that do the job right , imo selfish bastards , but these are the ones that are against scanning in and out and pda actuals , they can bring it in tomorrow for me.
So many double standards, we have the office favourites taking O/T out with their own round and still get back early whilst the DOM trys to get lapsing not taken by some staff given to people coming back early/
You have people taking meal relief and not coming early are classed as slow , heel draggers and lazy by management

Totally agree with you , it's the early starters , runners , doorstepers , scared of using a trolley selfish idiots that are wrecking the job

I don’t start early, take my break, never run and still get back early and do my overtime because I am good at my job. Some people take 7hrs to deliver a round that takes everybody else 4hrs. These people SHOULD be challenged but as soon as they do they start crying bullying and harassment!

Good luck to you get it while it lasts because as has been said managers will be under pressure to cut out o/t during working hours, "these people" are you saying if you can not go as fast as a young postie you lose your job thats very short sighted one day you will be carrying the aches and pains that this job brings.

You are assuming that the people going slow are old. They aren’t. They just deliberately drag their feet, go shopping, talk all day to customers then book 3hrs extended delivery.
Oh and I have been told ghosting will stop for the past 20 years!!
I can see it now,the DOMs will track the PDAs of those for whatever reason they dont like and use it against them, watching their every move and any excuse will be down on them like a ton of bricks.

Book 3hrs overtime!! When I was a postie I was lucky if I got paid 3 mins extended delivery!

I doubt there are many Postie's that take three hours longer than other Postie's except maybe if they get dropped onto a new walk with no training.
