School opens Amazon boxes to find an array of sex toys after postal blunder

Parcels containing an array of sex toys were delivered to a school in Bury after a postal blunder.

Teachers opened the boxes, dispatched by Amazon, to discover all manner of marital aids.



The packages were quickly resealed by staff after they realised what was inside.

No children at the pupil referral centre in Radcliffe saw the contents.

It is thought the packages - which were waiting for staff following the Easter break - were meant for a wholesale company in Bournemouth.

The mix-up is thought to have happened because the firm and the school are both on roads called Spring Lane and that someone inputted the rest of the address incorrectly.

In a statement the school, which takes children aged 11 to 15 unable to attend a mainstream school, said: “We came back from the Easter holidays to find three boxes which had been delivered to the school by Amazon Prime.

“One of our staff opened one of the boxes which contained a number of smaller boxes wrapped in black plastic.

“We didn’t look too closely at what was inside, but we knew fairly quickly it was something we hadn’t ordered!


“We checked the address on the parcel, which was given as ABS Holdings Ltd, but followed by Spring Lane, Radcliffe. “After searching for the company online, it appeared to be based near Bournemouth. We contacted them, they told us what the products were, and said they would arrange to collect the parcels.

“We have absolutely no idea why we received these boxes, but there’s obviously been a mix-up with someone’s order.


“None of our students saw the contents of the parcels.”

ABS Holdings is based in based at Forest Gate, Spring Lane, Ringwood, near Bouremouth.

A spokeswoman for the firm, which sells a range of sex toys and fetishwear from different brands, said the matter was being investigated.
