Security checks

Hi, this is my first post, I applied for two jobs within Royal Mail, both interviews went well but I got put on the waiting list for both of them! On the same day I applied for another post via the waiting list, that was 4 days ago and I heard back this morning with an email regarding security checks, filled out all the information and submitted it. This new role is also closer to home and more hours so I’m feeling lucky! Just thought I would say hi and how long do security checks usually take?

14 working days or more.

Congrats sounds good!

My security checks said 14 days but took around 18. I ended up ringing the dbs customer service number just to query why it was taking so long and surprisingly the next day it was completed!
If you email myapplication@royalmail.com they can give you a reference number so you can track the checks online

It’s been my first week this week! I’ve been with a workplace coach all week on a decent round so I’ve loved it and the weather has been amazing. Getting put on a van share next week so will let you know. Probably hate it at the end of that week

Im in the same position Jacko, I had my security check email 16/4 and my drivin licence check email 24/4 and now just waiting. it just seems like a long time when you are waiting and not knowing. Fingers crossed for us both

Hi! I had the email for extra details on the 16th and I also had the driving liscence check email on the 24th...this gives me hope! I’m hoping to get the formal offer next week but don’t know how realistic that is! Was u a waiting list candidate? I was. What area are you going to be working in?

Hi Jacko yeah I was a waiting list candidate and as soon as a job came up in my area I applied for it. Fingers crossed for Friday then. I’ve applied for Swindon what about u?

Email sent to my application,had an email back within an hour saying that my employment checks were going to be started and could take 14 days and to send a photo in. I thought I had already waited 14 days for my checks to be completed? My status online has changed to pre-employment checks
