The way the union and management cosy up for things like this,the more I get the feeling that The agreement was agreed on quite early,and they spent the rest of the time trying to dress it up to get the vote through.
I think the union got the deal THEY wanted,and not the deal WE wanted.
And as for taking a month to sort our pay out,you are not telling me that HR could not of got the ball rolling a lot sooner?
They were quick enough to implement the new pension arrangement,even though we were lead to believe it was a very "complex issue"!
Maybe because implementing the new pension saves RM money,bit like delaying the back pay...

I thought the whole 'mail's down!' mantra had died a death of late - it's nice how our union now endorse this myth.

It can't be a unique experience in my office, that parcel volumes continue to increase through the roof? It is also unusual to not go to most addresses on my rural delivery, with at least one item a day, so although mail volumes are dropping, if you still have to go to every door, your delivery span is the same.

But you must be getting out earlier as there is less letters to sort? Bullshit. None of the casuals or part-time staff do any IPS in our office, and as this increase in parcels continues unabashed we full-timers are having our sorting time INCREASED, meaning less prep time and later times out the door.

While Royal Mail (and our bloody union) continue to think they are a letters firm, that also delivers a few parcels a day, they will never come up with effective strategies going forward.

Pathetic to watch.
How this woman can posture on improving change with her record of non acceptance of the existence of a rife bullying culture within RM, that she has encouraged is disgraceful. Almost as disgraceful as or leadership non stance on putting a stop to the daily intimidation and B&H in delivery, it's been scandalous and shameful to allow it to continue unchallenged.

I think it could well only be a couple of years now before we end up (at least in MCs) processing more Tracked then what we do normal

Agreed. If you go to a PO Counter with a single parcel/packet they automatically ask you if you want it at Tracked 48.

Bit strange having a love in . Her job is to screw as much profit out of the workforce as possible ,by hook or by crook ; Its a private company , the sole reason for it's existence is to generate profit.
His job is to protect the terms and conditions of the people who elect him and pay his wages.
Anybody spot a problem with this united front?
