Posties have taken a busman's break to walk for charity

Dartmouth Posties and their families had an enjoyable sponsored walk at the weekend from Dartmouth to Totnes in aid of the Royal Mail’s chosen charity Children in Crisis.

Everyone, even the posties dogs walked the 13 miles in glorious springtime weather.

A spokesman for the postmen said: “We hope by the end of collecting all the sponsorship money to have raised over £800 by generous donations from customers on their deliveries.

“Royal Mail are going to match the final amount from the office.”
