The Poll!
The negative stuff will affect all of us - no question. I don't see it being physically possible for RM to get rid of walk frames in DOs but if they do it will wreck the job.dids620 wrote:Voted No. I think majority of delivery officers will vote No but IMO, the negative parts of the proposal don't really affect sorting offices as much so they could go the other way. My office runs on people doing overtime. Not had a revision in 10 years as they would have to put hours in. Every walk is outdated. Some using top row of frame marked in felt tip or biro to accommodate new builds. People regularly leave oversize packets on daily basis nevermind flexing as walks are unfeasibly big.

It’s a NO from me I’m afraid.
There’s a complete lack of rules in this agreement.
I want clear, simple rules we can all rely on. For example, something preventing managers from pressing people to do overtime when they’ve already said no.
All that time and effort and they couldn’t bang that in there?
It’s getting very trendy to do this whole, “let’s just agree to come up with some rules in the future” thing.
Prefer rules first.

Step up , add on to forced OT; forced unpaid OT cos "traffic figures are low", plus lapsing to cover sickness again with no OT payment.
And if you fail to complete ,despite having followed all of the required procedures and your manager having followed none, then be prepared to be taken down the conduct code for willful delay, and be prepared for that threat to continue for 4 months despite all agreed rules. Toothless union does nothing to stop it, despite clear evidence of management breaches ,fabrication of evidence ,abuse of process etc . Forget B&h procedure ,complete whitewash ,no records checked ,no supporting witnesses interviewed. Forget HR recommendations , management do .
Keep the paper trail though cos a Tribunal judge will wet himself laughing.

Sounds awfully burdensome, mate. I think they prefer money.BELIAL wrote:I want clear, simple rules we can all rely on. For example, something preventing managers from pressing people to do overtime when they’ve already said no.

MCs run on people doing overtime and casuals. Probably most MCs could do with a good few hours being put into each shiftdids620 wrote:Voted No. I think majority of delivery officers will vote No but IMO, the negative parts of the proposal don't really affect sorting offices as much so they could go the other way. and it should also stop the people ( starting early , not taking breaks , not using the methods and running round ) who have been killing the job for years and allowing this company to take more and more out the offices and keep adding to the daily workload , I think its time to start doing the job right .
