If it does get voted through it will be DO staff that will have voted it through. DO staff outnumber MC staff by about 2:1

Apathy rules so not everybody bothers to vote. Usually I would say we will act like sheep and vote YES but we should vote NO but I really think it could go either way this time. Really hard to predict. In terms of working practice changes I think this agreement is the worst one the CWU have been party to in the last twenty years. If this one gets voted in and all the trials go the way RM wants them to this job won't be worth a carrot.
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

Are you for real. You say you say yes to all the important things and you're willing to throw that away and vote no....... because of lapsing?!!!. If you haven't got time to do it, don't. It's not compulsory. If you have got time to do it, get on with it. You're paid to work your hrs, whatever that work is.

It will be voted through by the staff who choose to vote, since we don't get a breakdown by function we'll never know whose vote made the biggest difference. On a low turnout either function could swing it if they're more inclined to vote and mailcentre staff generally have stronger representation, are more likely to vote and will follow the union line.

At the end of the day I can't see any reason in this deal why processing and distribution would be more inclined to vote yes. It's a disappointing deal for all of us.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Yes, and there lies a problem !
We have a divided workforce from the start. Delivery experience much more pressure in duty/work in relation to time and varying weather etc. I accept there is added workload pressure in MCs but they do have an other shift to start as they finish at their proper shift time, no enforced pressure to go over!
It’s a bit like FTs will hold weight over PTs, they determine the fate of others with added seniority over the conditions the PTs have to endure - with little to NO consideration.

We are voting on a pay rise it will go through because turning down £100 a month makes no sense, the alternative is striking and relying on the union getting a better deal when they have told us this is the best they could get.

Not just voting on a wage increase. Dangled carrots have stitched us up in the past!
We need to see the pitfalls and not let monetary greed rule the day.

Ahh I see your plan. You are stirring the pot for a bit of selfish enjoyment, well I have my eye on you.

I noted your failure in understanding employment law in another thread, can I now add Arithmetic to the list.

100,000 delivery members in CWU 140,000 employed in Royal Mail total. Deliveries outnumber all other functions combined.

The roadshow in itself makes me think this agreement is bad
There is no way in the world we should be voting on a pay rise going back to last April alongside our pensions that we will be relying on at some point
Who’s decision was it to lump all this in together ?
The pension is not solved as yet , so maybe we should not be voting on it just yet .
The pay rise I’m sure was recommended by a third party and not Royal Mail or Cwu
The union I feel have a tried to save face here by bundling this headline grabbing rise in ,and making the so called selfish greedy postmen look bad for voting no
They should really be a bit more honest with what the bigger picture is and what the 35 hour week will really mean

This is utter bollocks!

The pay rise is backdated to October at 5% and includes all overtime and allowances and then this continues right through to April 2019 where we will get another 2%. For FT it = £21 per week.
The pension is on it's second reading in parliament and therefore is guaranteed to get the green light. I agree it's not better than the DB scheme but it far out weighs the DC scheme.
The 35 hour is essential for when automation is at nearly 100% for all delivery offices this will shorten delivery spans - 39 hours on mainly outdoor work would be a killer.
CUT OFF!!!

you seriously think delivery spans are going to get shorter? not a chance. if they want to cut down on indoor work that leaves only one thing. longer deliveries
